The kids show

The other day I was talking to my friend Lauren about Robin Williams. I'm not a fan of his recent work, and I told her how when I watched Mrs. Doubtfire for the first time, expectations were too high. She recommended that I go watch it again, because there are a lot of jokes for adults that I may have missed in 5th grade. Most movies for kids have a little something for adults, and Space Jam is no exception. I had the pleasure of rewatching this movie with my cousin's son, who now loves all things Michael Jordan.

I love this scene with Patrick Ewing, and it's a great example of a sex joke that flew way over my head (like "ignition in 3, 2, 1, we have lift off....PPPRRRRRRRRRR [hand racing over my head]" sorry, inside joke) when I was a kid.

Doctor: Are there any areas....
besides basketball......
where you find yourself.....

Good old Patrick Ewing. Thanks to Sports Illustrated for Kids, if I ever meet him, I know I can talk to him about his favorite television show, "a different world".
